Hernon's B&B is an ideal base to visit The Aran Islands. Arrive in the evening. Have an early night. After breakfast the following morning the Aran Ferries are within 5 minutes walking distance of Hernon's B&B. Enjoy a day on the Aran Islands. We can have you on an Island of your choice within 35-40 minutes with access to Inis Mór (the largest island), Inis Meáin (the centre island) and Inis Oirr (the smallest of the three islands). All three islands are seeped in history and some fantastic history sites, ie Dún Aonghus, Seven Churches, Arkin Castle to name but a few.

 

To find us take the main road from Galway City (R336). Ros-A-Mhil is 24 miles from The City.

A regular bus service runs from Galway to Rossaveal. If you are travelling by car, take the main coast road from Galway city (R336). Rossaveal is located approx 24 miles (38km) from the city. Hernon's B&B is located on the main road just before you reach the Rossaveal ferry terminal/harbour.

 

We can arrange sightseeing tours, boat trips to Aran, horse riding, fishing, golf, dinner reservations and itineraries. In the area there are good walking trails and quaint coastal villages.

Guests are encouraged to relax in the comfortable guest lounge – an excellent opportunity to sit and exchange experiences with other guests.
